Question 1.
|
How does my Dealership arrange to return an HV Battery that is currently in storage or that arrives in a corrugated container? |
| |
HV Batteries may only be returned in Durable Reusable Containers (DRC's). Please submit an on-line High Voltage Battery Inventory Survey & DRC Request Survey. This will lead to verification of required training and delivery of an appropriate DRC. |
Question 2.
|
Should I use the Parts Recovery System (PRS) to generate shipping documents for accumulated HV batteries currently in storage or that arrive in a corrugated container? |
| |
Yes; always use PRS to generate shipping documents to return undamaged HV batteries to Toyota.
For HV Batteries that are in storage or that arrive in a corrugated container, you must complete an on-line High Voltage Battery Inventory Survey & DRC Request Survey. KPA will ship DRC's to your parts manager pending availability as soon as your HV Technician has demonstrated training completion and competency. |
Question 3.
|
What do I do if I have a damaged battery at my dealership? |
| |
If you have a battery that is damaged (missing bus bar cover(s), shows signs of corrosion or past leakage), please contact the CLEAN Dealer EH&S Hot line at 877-572-4347 or email both: scorn@kpaonline.com & dkunce@kpaonline.com to request a "Damaged Battery Request Form". KPA will assist you with the removal of the battery from your dealership. |
Question 4.
|
Once I've submitted my HV Battery and DRC Request Survey on-line, when will I receive my DRC's? |
| |
Once KPA has verified that your dealership's training requirements have been met, please allow 2+ weeks for delivery of your DRC(s).
DRC shipment will be prioritized beginning with dealers possessing the largest volumes of HV batteries. Depending on the current volume of DRC's out for recovery at any given time, your order may take longer than previously estimated. |
Question 5.

I am a Certified HV Technician. Will I have to submit a Preparation and Packaging Competency Form for each HV battery I send back? |
| |
No, each Certified HV Technician is required to complete and submit only one Preparation and Packaging Competency Form. |
